About: Matteo Bisolfati

MatteoI graduated at the University of Perugia, during my study I worked with IRPI on the Sentinelle del Territorio project and I collaborated with the University of Perugia in various activities, in 2017 with the publication of the article: “Retrieving magma composition from TIR spectra: implications for terrestrial planets investigations”, in 2018 as supervisor of the work of university students. Since 2020 I am a PhD student of Earth system and global changes at Perugia University. The goal of my project is to geochemically characterize planetary surfaces, through the investigation of their mid-infrared features. The spectral characterization of planetary surface and other solar system objects, allows us to obtain relative and absolute geochemical maps in order to understand the evolutionary history of celestial bodies as well as to mapping their mining capacities in order to use of in situ resources to support human solar system exploration goals or for possible future colonization or for direct mining exploitation. In addition to geochemical investigation, morphological studies will be carried out in order to obtain further results confirmation, through geological fractal geometry features analyzation.
