Short Course on Magmas, Eruptions and Risks (15-17 March 2016)

We are pleased to announce the second “Magma, Eruption and Risks” short course that will be held at the Department of Physics and Geology of the University of Perugia 15-17 March 2016. The short course is divided into three days (corresponding to 3 credit points) of lectures (morning) and exercises (afternoon) with the aim to provide an up to date and modern knowledge about magmatic-volcanic processes in the Earth interior, their eruption, and their impact on society.
The short course is meant for PhD students. The number of participants is restricted to a maximum of 20.

A certificate of participation in the short course on Magmas, Eruption and Risks can be obtained.

There are no registration fees. However, participants have to organize their travel and stay in Perugia.

Aim: This course is aimed to provide an up to date and modern knowledge about magmatic-volcanic processes on Earth interior and their eruption on the surface.
Qualifications: A certificate of “successful participation in the short course on Magmas, Eruption and Hazard” can be obtained. This certificate is equivalent to 3 credit points in the graduate program at the University of Perugia. To get the certificate you need to submit a short report, max five pages (and the report has to be accepted).
